This Vintage Persian Tabriz Rug was expertly hand woven in the northern region of Tabriz, Iran. It has been skillfully distressed and refinished in the United States for a superior quality finish. Measuring 5 feet 11 inches by 9 feet 3 inches, this rug is a fine example of the rich tradition of Persian (Iranian) art and culture. Persian rug-weaving has a long history that dates back to the Bronze Age, with some of the earliest surviving rugs originating from the Safavid dynasty in the 16th century.
